Trees, Gifts, and Allergy Free Cocoa!

While decorating the tree and indulging in the general festivities of the season, tradition dictates that hot beverages go along with it. Especially hot chocolate!

Being a chocolate lover, I was not about to have my allergies dictate to me that I could no longer drink the stuff. There HAD to be a way! And there was...

Thanks to the folks at Hershey's, we with allergies can have a rich, steaming mug of cocoa without risking our health. And with a little creativity, add a little holiday pizazz to it as well!

Simply buy a bottle of Hershey's chocolate syrup and your favorite milk substitute. Mix together in a mug, microwave for 2 minutes and.....ahhhhh, pure pleasure!

Better yet, if you're able to drink Almond milk, a chocolate variety is also offered. Even easier.

Now, for the pizazz (this is really cool), whisk together enough powdered sugar and water to make a thin paste. Next, dip the ends of large marshmallows in the paste. Then roll that side in finely crushed candy canes. Allow to air dry and place two each on small skewers. Add to your hot chocolate for a fun, Christmastime treat!

Happy Holidays!
