On our way out the door following our workout at the local family recreation center this morning, my sons and I noticed the strangest thing.
Not the good kind. Noooo....
These were full of sodas, chips, candy bars, cookies...
Yeah, I said the same thing you are thinking right now.
What IS up with that?
Perhaps ensuring that you will make a return trip to work off those Grandma's Cookies?
We did not succumb, of course. We came home and made guilt free smoothies instead.
And here is a recipe!
Antioxidant/Protein Rich Fruit Smoothie (works best in a Blendtec or Vitamix)
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1-2 cups vanilla almond milk
2 tsp flax seed powder
If you add more berries, add more almond milk and flax powder.
Hit the smoothie button!
You will be amazed at the sweetness of this smoothie. Yes, there is a tiny bit of organic cane sugar in the almond milk, but the flavor comes bursting forth from the berries. They will keep you healthy and the almond milk/flax powder combo will give you a protein punch.
All without the guilt!
